Iconic Throwback Toys From Movies You Can Still Buy Today

This holiday shopping season, throw it back to the silver screen's most recognizable toys.

ILLINOIS — What do Kevin McCallister's Talkboy from Tiger Electronics, the Jumanji game board, Chucky and Wilson the volleyball have in common? They're all toys that originated on the silver screen, with varying levels of success with their real-world introductions. For some of us, the thought of summoning a cryptic limerick with the roll of a dice sounds enticing. A real-life Chucky doll, notsomuch.

We've put together a list of toys featured in movies you can still own today. They range in price, likeness, and availability, but they're sure to bring nostalgia this gifting season.

Recreate the classic scene from the 1998 movie "Big" with FAO Schwarz's dance mat piano. Bon-Ton stores have paired with the FAO Schwarz brand to offer a line of classic and modern toys. The two-octave version sells for $130 at Carson's, but you're likely to find it on sale.

Rosebud. Need we say more? There were three versions made for Orson Welles's 1941 classic, "Citizen Kane." Two were burned for the final scene in the movie, but the remaining one sold to Steven Spielberg in 1982 for $55,000. You can get a knockoff from Etsy, starting at around $40, to upwards of $800, depending on the quality and authenticity of the sled.

Speaking of Spielberg, the director is rumored to have ordered 40 identical BMX bikes from Japanese manufacturer Kuwahara for the 1982 movie, "E.T." It wasn't easy finding Kuwahara replicas from a limited re-release run in the early 2000s, but you can check for yourself for Ebay listings here.

The Addams Family gets much pleasure from blowing up model trains. At $99.95, you'd hardly want to do the same to this model Lionel Polar Express Train from Pottery Barn Kids.

IT'S TURBO TIME! Complete with a boomerang shooter and his rock 'n' roller jet pack and the realistic voice activator, Turboman from "Jingle All the Way" (1996) retails for about $100 out of the package on ebay. The ones in their packages are selling in the $200-$300 range. This is the next best thing to having Arnold Schwarzenegger come to your house— if you consider that to be a good thing.

The Nerdist found this real-life Jumanji game, without the summoning powers featured in the 1995 film. But if you can't pony up the few hundred dollars for the authentic-looking pieces, consider this $20 knockoff from Target. Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle is set to release nationwide Dec. 20.

Steve Richter makes Jumanji replicas. Monkeys not included.

Don't shoot your eye out, kid, with this Daisy Red Ryder BB Gun from Dick's Sporting Goods. The 1938 model retails for $40, but you might be able to find it on sale this shopping season. This toy of yesteryear was featured in 1983's "A Christmas Story."

Toys-R-Us won't be closing any stores this holiday season, so it's no problem to get your hands on an exclusive Optimus Prime action figure for $30. This transformer shifts from a truck to an autobot in 23 steps. We admit, the toy became way before the movie franchise, but we think it's still a worthy pick if you want to own a piece of cinema history.

Unwrap all these presents to the quintessential soundtrack from A Charlie Brown Christmas. Barnes & Noble sells an exclusive cartoon vinyl pressing of the Vince Guaraldi Trio LP for $22.
