Naperville Man Buys Winning $40K Lotto Ticket On Halloween
The winner would have left with 4x less if it weren't for one more option on his ticket.
NAPERVILLE, IL — Some got tricks on Halloween, while one Naperville man got a $40,000 treat. That was the day Alex Seol purchased a Mega Millions lottery ticket from Stop N Go at 355 N. Schmidt Road in Bolingbrook. Seol’s prize would have been only $10,000 if it weren’t for him adding the “Megaplier” feature to his ticket. Lucky no. 4 was all it took to quadruple his winnings.
Seol is a regular Mega Millions player who occasionally plays Powerball, according to a press release from the Illinois Lottery. The Stop N Go that sold the winning ticket gets a $400 bonus. Mega Millions drawings take place Tuesday and Friday nights at 10 p.m.
