Naperville Named One Of 'Coolest Suburbs In America'

NAPERVILLE, IL — It's not uncommon to see Naperville on a "best of list;" the city has garnered recognition for its excellent schools, its livability and more. The city can now add another honor to its accolades after a recent roundup by Apartment Therapy named it one of the "coolest suburbs in the U.S."

The website ranked suburbs throughout the country with populations of between 20,000 and 100,000 people. To further narrow down the list of what makes a "cool" suburb, Apartment Therapy considered such factors as demographic diversity and household income before considering the cultural offerings of each locale.

Naperville stood out to Apartment Therapy for its dining and entertainment options, its arts scene, and family-friendly options. The roundup gave shoutouts to the Naperville Riverwalk, Centennial Beach, Anderson's Bookshop, DuPage Children's Museum and other landmarks.

Naperville also earned extra recognition by gaining the title of "Craftiest Suburb" from Apartment Therapy. The city earned the moniker due to its numerous Etsy sellers and such local arts organizations and events as the Riverwalk Fine Art Fair and gallery exhibitions, in addition to public art and murals.

Apartment Therapy's final comment about what makes Naperville cool? "It's got something for everyone."
