Naperville's 2012 Cyberattacks Cost the Village $760,000 in Fixes
Insurance covered about 25 percent of the tab, according to city officials.

After a 2012 cyberattack forced Naperville to shut down its online network, city officials have spent roughly $760,000 to rebuild the network, according to an article in the Chicago Tribune.
Insurance took care of one-fourth of the tab, according to city officials. City Manager Doug Krieger said Naperville has since invested in beefed-up defenses of its online network and computer systems, targeted half a million times a day by nefarious outside elements.
