New Car Detailing Company Welcomed to Naperville

Our nasty Midwest Winter is coming to a close soon. In coming months I’ll see an end to caked on salt and grime on my car and we’ll see the last of the snow and ice.

If you couldn’t tell, I really am not a big fan of the Midwest Winters we get here in Illinois. I recently moved up from the south where we never get snow and the coldest it gets is maybe 50 degrees. So you can imagine, the Winter here is a bit of a surprise for me.

Anyways, to get to the point here, when I started to see the Spring on the horizon and the caked salt all across my car, I went looking for a car detailer to get it clean for me. I briefly considered a regular carwash, but considering my experience the last time I took my car in, you can understand my reluctance. In fact, the last time I took my car into the automatic wash I ended up with a big old scratch mark all down the side of my car.

So, when I started looking into detailers, imagine my surprise when I find someone I know running a detail shop. Naperville Car Detailing is run by Dean Larsen who used to work for DetailTech in Utah where I went to school. Dean has been detailing cars for 10+ years but only in the last couple years has he been out here in Naperville. And only a couple months back did he make the company official and launch his website, napervillecardetailing.com.

While I was getting my car detailed, Dean and I chatted a bit and I decided I’d put out a bit of a press release, as it were, for a new local Naperville business.

One thing to look forward to is that I’ve convinced Dean to write up an article on tips for cleaning your car yourself. I have to admit, dropping $200-$300 to get my car clean is not exactly something that fits nicely into anyone’s monthly budget.
