Possible BNSF Metra Delays Thursday Morning
Alternate plans implemented at Union Station for Wednesday evening. Check in morning for possible delays.

NAPERVILLE, IL — The Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) Metra line continues to experience delays of up to 30 minutes Wednesday evening. Repairs are being made from Tuesday night's derailment on the south side of Union Station, according to a statement on Metra's website.
A spokesperson from Metra told ABC7 that delays are possible during Thursday morning's rush hour, depending on how much can be repaired overnight. Riders should check for updates at metrarail.com between 4 and 5 a.m. to see if their trains are delayed.
Metra is implementing a plan to limit overcrowding on the South Concourse for Wednesday evening. Customers are advised to listen to announcement and check gate signage because their normal trains might be using a different track.
