16-Year-Old Library Employee Removed From R-Rated Film
The girl was hired to play the movies during the weekly matinee series, and was asked to leave by a library trustee, the Morton Grove Champion reports.
Controversy is arising over who is working at the Morton Grove Library’s weekly matinee series, the Morton Grove Champion reports.
A 16-year-old library employee hired to work the movie series, was asked to leave the Baxter Auditorium last week before an R-rated movie was shown. This was at the request of Library Trustee Cathy Peters, who called having the 16-year-old work during the R-rated films “inappropriate.” The girl’s mother did sign a waiver allowing her to show the R-rated movies, according to the newspaper. Peters approached Acting Director Kevin Justie to find a different employee to show R-rated films, calling it an “emergency situation” to have minors view “inappropriate materials.”
