Crime summary: 69-year-old man pulls out gun during argument

Multiple burglaries also reported in Morton Grove

Robert Bolbat, a 69-year-old Morton Grove man, allegedly pointed a firearm at someone with whom he had been arguing, according to police reports obtained by the Morton Grove Champion. Police have charged Bolbat with aggravated assault with a firearm and unlawful use of a weapon. He has a court date of December 19.

There were five burglaries reported in Morton Grove between November 17 and 26. The locations of the crimes were the following: the 8800 block of Major Avenue, the 7900 block of Lotus Avenue, the 9000 block of Neenah Avenue, the 6800 block of Church Street and the 8900 block of Shermer Road

Brian Kirsch and Carolyn Olson, both from Park Ridge, were charged with possession of a controlled substance on November 26. Police received a report of unresponsive people in a vehicle on the 5900 block of Dempster Street. The pair reportedly regained consciousness after police arrived. They are suspected of possessing heroin, and they are due in court on December 14.
