Driver With Marijuana Flew Through Air, Hit Tree, Police Say
Police found 12.8 grams of cannabis in his pocket, according to the report.

Eddie J. Park, 32, of Northbrook, drove his vehicle through the Illinois Bone & Joint Institute parking lot (the former Abt location), at 8930 Waukegan Road, Morton Grove, at a high speed, Morton Grove police said. The parking lot has trees in median strips, and Park's car hit a curb, became airborne and hit a tree. Police did not disclose details on how far or high the car traveled while airborne.
Police found 12.8 grams of cannabis in Park's front left pocket, the report indicated. Park was injured, and was held overnight for observation at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge. At the hospital, a urine test showed he had cannabis in his system, police said. Police later took him to the Morton Grove Police Station and charged him with driving under the influence and possession of cannabis.
His court date is scheduled for Jan. 14 at the Skokie branch of the Cook County courts.
