Edens Expressway Overnight Lane Closures For Bridge Repair Begin

Lane closures begin this week for road work expected to be completed in May.

From the Illinois Department of Transportation: The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) announced that overnight lane closures begin this week, weather permitting, on the Edens Expressway (Interstate 94) between Glenview Road and Lincoln Avenue in Glenview and Morton Grove. The closures are necessary for a bridge repair project on the structures that carry Glenview Road over the Edens and Lincoln Avenue over the Edens.

In order to complete the work, overnight lane closures will take place on the Edens Expressway between Glenview Road and Lincoln Avenue, reducing the expressway from three lanes to two lanes when necessary. The shoulders on Edens Expressway will be closed at Glenview Road and Lincoln Avenue.

The overall project is expected to be completed in May 2018.
