A village official has proposed the idea to install the machines on Dempster Street, the Morton Grove Champion reports.

Electric car charging stations may be coming to Morton Grove, the Morton Grove Champion reports.

Doug Steinman, a member of Morton Grove’s village finance committee, tells the newspaper he thinks having the stations will stimulate business and residential growth. He has suggested putting them near parking lots on Dempster Street so people can eat dinner or shop and charge their cars at the same time. The cost for installing one electric car charging station is about $15,000.
