Community Corner

A Family Working Together - ProAuto Illinois

The Chamber of Commerce is a family with many branches. Let us tell you about the people who work together to serve the community.

The Morton Grove Chamber has been helping local businesses...and families...since 1926. That has made the village such a great place over the years are the people who live, work and play in Morton Grove.

The Chamber is trying something new, sharing the stories of the people behind the counters of our local businesses and organizations. Today's story we feature a family of four who are new business owners working together to build the American Dream..Julie and Lee Hardegree of ProAuto Illinois. They have wanted to own their own auto shop for years. Lee began his career as a mechanic in the early '90s, quickly becoming an elite technician.

Growing up nearby in Skokie, Il and raising two children together in Northbook kept the family local to our area. When an opportunity arose to open a shop in Morton Grove, the Hardgrees and their partners, Tina and Matt Schubert, jumped on the chance. Their dream was an honest, reliable, family shop and thanks to the Morton Grove community, it opened to the public last summer.
