Flags at Half-Staff: September 11, Patriot Day, Moment of Silence

Presidential Proclamation on Patriot Day, September 11

Greetings Neighbors on this Very Solemn Day...

Please place your United States flag at half-staff from sunrise until sunset in honor of Patriot Day on Wednesday, September 11; paying tribute to the nearly 3,000 individuals who lost their lives as a result of the terrorist attacks against the United States that occurred on September 11, 2001.

Additionally, title 36 U.S. Code § 144, calls on the people of the United States to observe a moment of silence on this same day.
