Go Skiing, Explore Niles Restaurants, Skate, And Other Things To Know This Week
Here's your guide to what's happening in Morton Grove and Niles the week of Dec. 30, 2013 to Jan. 5, 2014.

- Ready for the slopes? Join the Niles Teen Center for its Alpine Valley Ski Trip Friday, Jan. 3 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Cost is $100 if you need to rent equipment, $50 if you have your own. Inquire as soon as possible if spaces are still available.
- You only have until Tuesday, Dec. 31 to buy your Dine-In Niles coupons. Select your choice of the following: pay $5 for $10 of value; $10 for $20 of value or $20 for $40 of value, at participating Niles restaurants.
- Lace up your ice skates, because Niles Park District's Iceland has special indoor skating hours from Dec. 30 through Jan. 3. It's all the fun without all the frostbite on your toes.
- Your kids will be climbing the walls by Friday, Jan. 3, after so much winter break cooped up indoors. Take them to the Morton Grove Public Library's Snow Much Fun event at 3 p.m. for games, fun and a movie.
- Watch for Niles-Morton Grove Patch's New Year's Eve in the northern suburbs guide, coming soon.
