Half-staffing of the United States Flag for Dec 7 Pearl Harbor

Half-staffing of the United States Flag for National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day, 2017

Greetings My Neighbors,

For National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day, please place your flags at half-staff from sunrise to sunset on Thursday, December 7 from sunrise to sunset. National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day, as a mark of respect for those American patriots who died as a result of their service at Pearl Harbor.

If you cannot place your flag at half-staff, attaching a black ribbon to the top of a U.S. flag is an acceptable alternative for flags that cannot be lowered to half-staff. (See the attached picture).
