Honoring the Victims of the Mercy Hospital: US Flag at Half-Staff

Here We Go Yet Again....

As a mark of solemn respect for the victims of the handgun murders at Mercy Hospital on Monday, November 19, the order has been issued that the flag of the United States shall be flown at half-staff upon public buildings and grounds from:

Sunrise on Saturday, November 24, 2018, until
Sunset on Monday, November 26, 2018

The names of those killed due to handgun violence are:
Chicago Police Officer Samuel Jimenez
Pharmacy Resident Dayna Less
Emergency Room Doctor Tamara O’Neal

This half-staffing order is issued on the twenty-fourth day of November, in the year of our Lord two thousand eighteen, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and forty-third.

If you cannot fly your flag at half-staff because it is on a fixed post, you can attach a black ribbon to it. Please see the attached picture.
