After reading through around 50 entries, a committee consisting of Board Secretary Diane Olsen, Executive Director Susan Dove Lempke, Youth Services Librarian Mikey Orzechowski, Head of Public Relations and Marketing Sasha Vasilic, and Public Relations and Marketing Coordinator Robin Komie unanimously chose Nelson School 5th Grader Prisha Modi as the second-ever Library President for a Day Contest Winner.

"When I borrow books, music, and movies I learn something new and it's because the library provides all these amazing facilities and it helps me learn many different things," stated Prisha in her submission.

The contest was open to students in grades K-8. Students had to fill out a form explaining in 5-10 sentences why they should be Library President for a Day. Many students in schools located in the Library District such as Culver, Apollo, Gemini, and others participated.
