Local Restaurants open for business
The Morettis located in Morton Grove is an example of local restaurants opening back up after the COVID-19 pandemic lock down.
Illinois restaurants are re-opening after Gov. Pritzker has relaxed his COVID-19 executive order, which effectively shut restaurants down across the state more than 2 months ago.
Patrons are seen socializing and enjoying the newfound freedom of dining at restaurants after the extended lock down period. A local musician was playing electric guitar with pa-system supplied backup music.
The main outdoor eating section was fairly crowded, no masks are needed when sitting and eating at these tables, although masks are required as you walk to and from your table.

The inside eating area was only sparsely populated, and the pickup area has been modified with a well demarcated line including 6ft social distancing floor markings.
The tables setup outside the main, fenced in outdoor eating area are for patrons who are waiting for a table to become free, and Morton Grove put up sawhorse barriers in the front parking lot for additional seating for those waiting.
