The Morton Grove Chamber...Marketing, Networking, Golf & More!

The MGCCI has been helping businesses since 1926. Over 90 years later it continues to create new ways for its members to prosper.

Since 1926, the MGCCI has been helping to promote local businesses by advertising, networking, education, social events and advocacy. As we the promise of spring begins to unfold, the Chamber of Commerce wants to share some of their benefits, goals and activities with the Morton Grove Community!

One of the Chamber's longest running and most popular networking events is the golf outing (our 40th coming up on June 12, 2018 at the Chevy Chase Country Club). Joining the MGCCI at this event will be the Park Ridge Chamber of Commerce and members of the Assyrian American business community and many people coming to meet others to share what they do professionally on the links and at dinner. There will be a lunch, golf, dinner, raffles, silent auction and fun. To register for golf, dinner or both, be a sponsor, donate prizes or buy raffle tickets - please contact the MGCCI at Director@mgcci.org.

A brand new 48 page "MGCCI Directory & Community Guide 2018-19" is in the mail this weekend and every household and business in Morton Grove will soon have one in their very own mailbox. We thank our 200 plus members for helping us make this book possible and we hope the community will find all the information about the community useful. An electronic copy will soon be uploaded to the Chamber's website (www.mgcci.org) for all to see and use as a reference guide.

New members keep finding the Chamber as a great source of marketing at an economical price. For most members, the less than $200 annual dues provides a bucket full of marketing options like - listing in the printed directory, online listings on the optimized website, invites to Morton Grove and multi-chamber networking and educational events (many of them FREE), our Facebook Page where we post information and re-post our members news, specials and events, new business ribbon cuttings/grand openings, a twice-weekly online newsletter, YouTube selfie commercial videos, discounts on advertising in Money Mailer coupon envelopes, chamber ads in local newspapers, one of Morton Grove's favorite community events - The Morton Grove Farmers' Market and other benefits to help improve the visibility and business of our membership (again, all this for less than $200 a year).

The MGCCI has welcomed a new member each and every week this year so far to our group helping all to enrich the wide array of goods and services our members offer to the buying public and other businesses. We recently sent out over 120 certificates recognizing members with memberships of 5, 10, 20, 30 and 40 years (with some members with 50 years coming up in 2019)! The MGCCI is truly a community wide organization that includes not only commercial businesses, but local, township, county & state governments, schools, faith-based organizations and civic organizations like the American Legion, Historical Society, Moose Lodge, Shore Services and others (with all our members found online at http://chamber.mgcci.org/list/).

The MGCCI is pleased to participate in the annual "Morton Grove Days" celebrations by presenting its "President's Cup" trophy to the best entry in the July 4th parade and support the MG Police Department's "National Night Out" in August and the MG Park District's "Holly Days" in December. The MGCCI also holds one of the most popular annual holiday parties in December along with other events like "Cabaret Night" in the fall and helping the The Education Foundation's "Spaghetti Night" fundraiser in winter helping to serve students in Niles Township. The Morton Grove Chamber frequently works together with the Niles, Skokie and Park Ridge Chambers to host multi-chamber networking events.

The MGCCI is proud to have the Morton Grove Farmers' Market as one of its committees (for many years now). This year, there's a new energy at the market including a new location, new hours, new vendors, new entertainment & education, new volunteers and a new focus on making the market be "the spot" to be on summer Saturdays from 8am to 1pm.
