Morton Grove School Calendar 2017-18: First Day Of School, Vacations, Conferences

The first day of school in Morton Grove is August 23. Feel free to mark it on your calendar as one of the most dreaded days of the year for students and teachers — and feel free not to feel guilty about marking it as one of your favorites. The Morton Grove School District (Park View) has released its 2017-2018 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

• 8/21 - 8/22: Teacher Institute Day
• 8/23: First Day of School, Half Day

September

• 9/4: No School (Labor Day)
• 9/5: Curriculum Night Grades 5-6 (7:00 p.m.) and Grades 7-8 (8:00 p.m.)
• 9/6: Curriculum Night Grades K-2 (7:00 p.m.) and Grades 3-4 (8:00 p.m.)
• 9/13: Early Release
• 9/21: No School

October

• 10/9: No School (Columbus Day)
• 10/18: Early Release
• 10/27: End of First Quarter

November

• 11/9 - 11/10: No School for Students (P/T Conferences)
• 11/15: Early Release
• 11/22 - 11/24: No School (Thanksgiving Recess)

December

• 12/22: Early Release
• 12/25 - 1/5: No School (Winter Break)

January
