Gilda Trozzolo, nee Stellato age 90, passed away at home following a brief illness. Beloved wife of the late Angelo Ralph Trozzolo. Loving mother of Francine (Keith) DeBartolo, Barbara Walsh-Arceo, Pasquale (Joan) Trozzolo and Rita (Paul) Ravenna. Cherished grandmother of Laura (Bob) Koopmann, Regina Briganti, Nicole (Michael) Rosciano, Angelo (Elisa) Trozzolo, Jill (Ross) Wuetherich, Sarah (Josh) Brewster, Valerie Ravenna, Paul (Rebecca) Ravenna, Angelica Ravenna and Angelo Ravenna. Adored great grandmother of 16. Dear sister of the late Frank (the late Ida) Stellato. Fond aunt of many nieces and nephews. Visitation Monday 6:00 to 9:00 PM, at the Skaja Terrace Funeral Home 7812 N. Milwaukee Ave., Niles, Funeral Services Tuesday 9:45 AM to Addolorata Villa for 11:00 AM Mass. Entombment All Saints Mausoleum. Born in southern Italy, Gilda immigrated to the US. at age 4. She grew up on the West Side near Racine Ave. and Taylor St. In 1944 she married the love of her life Ralph, a decorated veteran of WWII. They started and raised their family in Elmwood Park, and were active at St. Celestine Parish. She brought joy and happy memories to many neighborhood children as the founder of Gee Whiz Candy Store located on Diversey Ave. and later, Gee Whiz Variety on Belmont.
