Niles Library Hosts Library President for a Day Contest

The Niles-Maine District Library will be hosting a Library President for a Day Contest for students in grades K-8 until Monday, October 19.

The Niles-Maine District Library will be hosting a Library President for a Day Contest for students in grades K-8 until Monday, October 19. To enter, students in grades K-8 must fill out a form in the KidSpace department or sign up online at www.nileslibrary.org/kids and write 5-10 sentences why they should be the Library President for a Day.

Perks of Being Library President for a Day:

  • Be recognized at the November Board Trustees Meeting
  • Receive a Key to the Library
  • Pick out favorite books, movies, and music for a display in his/her honor

The winner must be a student in grades K-8, have a Niles-Maine District Library card or go to a school served by the Library District, including all of District 63. Winner must be able to attend the Board of Trustees meeting virtually on Wednesday, November 18 at 7 p.m. The winner will be announced on Election Day, Tuesday, November 3.

The Niles-Maine District Library is located at 6960 W. Oakton St, the northeast corner of the Oakton and Waukegan intersection.
