Niles-Maine Library Offers Suggestions For Winter Reading

Winter is almost here! That means lots of time for reading and good cheer! This year’s Winter Reading theme is Smitten with Books, and it is ramping up! Kids can sign up online or with an app to participate through Beanstack! Families may already have accounts from the previous Winter Reading, so no need to create a new login. Each week, beginning December 1, kids will have the opportunity to complete activities to earn a prize, as well as entries into our grand prize drawing.

Kids will earn a take-home pillow project (no screen required, we promise!) to make by completing any 3 of the 8 weeks of Winter Reading. They’ll also earn an entry to win the grand prize for each week they complete! This year’s grand prize is a $50 Target gift card! Click here to log in or create an account to sign up. Book enthusiasts in grades K-8 are also invited to join our Reading Patch Club on Beanstack! Expand your reading horizons and earn real patches to collect. This club is open to readers of all abilities and kids choose which patches they’ll want to earn!
