Niles, Morton Grove in Top 100 Statewide for DUI Arrests

Niles ranked 31st in the state for DUI arrests made in 2012.

According to the Alliance Against Intoxicated Motorists (AAIM), Niles police arrested 177 people for driving under the influence last year. That adds up to 3.22 DUI arrests per officer. Morton Grove ranked 91st in the state with 70 drunk driving arrests in 2012.

Rockford topped the list with 686 DUI arrests last year. There were several Illinois municipalities that didn’t arrest any drunk drivers in 2012 including Pearl City, Union, St. Anne and Astoria.
