Parks Open Playgrounds Closed
Due to the COVID-19 Corona Virus outbreak, local parks remain open but playgrounds are closed.

Illinois parks can remain open but playground areas are closed, due to surface areas potentially being contaminated with the Corona Virus (COVID-19).
Governor J.B. Pritzker signed COVID-19 Executive Order No. 8 this past weekend, officially laying out the rules and regulations for public activities and gatherings within the State of Illinois.
The public can be out and about within public parks, but areas with surfaces that can contain viruses have been deemed off limits and closed until at least April 7, depending if another Executive Order is signed into effect after than deadline.
