Police say a 33-year-old Freeport man sexually assaulted an Evanston boy from March to August 2008, when the boy was 7 years old.

Police charged a 33-year-old Freeport man Tuesday with sexually assaulting an Evanston boy, according to police.

Evanston police began investigating the matter Tyler's interactions with the boy after he reported being assaulted to a police school resource officer in October. The boy later identified him in a line-up, according to police.
