Reduction in assessed property valuation for Norwood, Maine, Leyden, Norwood and Jefferson Townships

The citizens of the Fair Allocation in Runways (FAiR) Coalition have done it once again! After 1) securing the first-ever community conversations directly between citizens in both city and suburbs, and O'Hare Airport, then 2) standing tough for 2 1/2 years to demand and finally secure a face-to-face meeting with Mayor Emanuel, then 3) achieving the first-ever O'Hare nighttime Fly Quiet plane rotation, the FAiR Coalition has done it again with success #4 belo
This time, FAiR has secured a reduction in the assessed property valuation for property tax purposes (not the same as your home's market value when you sell your home) for citizens in Norwood, Maine, Leyden, Norwood and Jefferson Townships. Letters are being mailed out already and more are to come in the coming months.
If you want a copy of the letter, either email me Jac.Charlier@gmail.com or go to the FAiR Coalition website at www.fairchicago.org or to the FAiR Facebook page.

At the website, you can quickly sign-up to join FAiR, the largest citizen-led civic movement on Chicago's NW side and NW suburbs. FAiR is the leading voice of action for citizens impacted by the 2013 runway takeoff and landing pattern changes made at O'Hare, changes made without any real community input.
Well done again FAiR! See what citizens gathered together democratically and in community can do.
