The Friends of the Morton Grove Library group is back, the Morton Grove Champion reports.
Three residents reinstated the group which disbanded in 2012, and held its first board meeting on June 3. The main reason for bringing back the nonprofit was the fact that there is nearly $10,000 in the Friends of the Morton Grove Library’s name sitting in a bank account that can only be accessed by group leaders, the newspaper reports. The group said it hopes to build membership and help with important library needs.
