TIME FOR ACTION: February 16 at 7 PM - MLK Northwest Area "Unity in Community" Citizens Convening
Greetings Neighbors!
One week ago over 40 of our neighbors gathered at Wildwood Tavern for our Inaugural MLK Northwest Area "Unity in Community" Dinner. It was a huge success and unfortunately we had to turn away over 20 people as we just did not have enough space (we'll be ready next year for a huge crowd). Enjoying some great BBQ, we discussed how we as citizens of the Northwest area, communities primarily made up of white residents, "can be part of the solutions to bringing black and white together to continue to form a more perfect union." Now, it's time for action.
You are invited to join us on Thursday, February 16 from 7 PM - 8:30 PM (Our location is TBD) to look at the Next Action Steps and decide what we'll do first. We collected 15 solution ideas before we ran out of time. We'll look at those, we'll organize and then we'll act. Interested? Please RSVP to Jac Charlier at jac.charlier@gmail.com or Adele Bach at adelebach@earthlink.net. We'll get back in touch with you once we have the location.
