Veterans Day 2018 - Ceremony at 11 AM: "A Nation Tolls Its Bells"

Veterans Day 2018 - Special Ceremony at 11 AM - "A Nation Tolls its Bells" #tollthebells #Veteransday2018

Greetings My Neighbors,

For those not yet sure if they are coming to this very special Veterans Day 2018 Ceremony marking the 100th Anniversary of Armistice Day, the end of WWI, know that we will be gathered at the same time with over 15,000 others ready to toll the bells on November 11 as part of the World War One Centennial Commission.

All Military Services have issued orders to toll the bells on all U.S ships and military installations. Governors of all 50 states, the Mayor of the District of Columbia, the Governors of Puerto Rico, Guam, and the U.S. Virgin Islands are asking citizens to toll the bells. More than 100 cities, counties, and towns across the U.S. will be tolling their bells. Over 700 patriotic organizations, places of worship, historical associations, museums, institutions of learning, and residential communities will toll their bells.

**REMINDER: Due to the construction and resulting limited space, we will hold only a very brief Veterans Day Ceremony at the Edgebrook triangle flagpool starting at 10 AM on Sunday, November 11. If possible, people are encouraged to come to the full Veterans Day 2018 Ceremony at 11 AM instead. We are still offering this short ceremony so as not to otherwise leave any veteran or their family behind on this day of honor and remembrance.
