What Do Niles, Morton Grove Spend on Halloween Costumes?

According to 'Crain's Chicago Business,' adults from both towns spent a combined $97,779 on Halloween costumes last year.

Americans spent $512.1 million on adult Halloween costumes last year. Yes, you read that correctly.

That number comes from Crain's Chicago Business and its recently released map showing spending on adult costumes for Halloween in 2011. Adults spent over $100 million more on their own costumes than on childrens'.

According to Crain's, Niles adults spent about $49,617 on their costumes. Morton Grove spent about $48,162.
