Rock Climbing Wall Graffiti; Missing Car: Blotter
A rock climbing wall was vandalized with graffiti; a customer left their car at auto shop that has since closed: Northbrook Police Blotter.

NORTHBROOK, IL — The following information comes from the Northbrook Police Department and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.
ARRESTS
FORGERY
Marco Triplett, 43, of the 600 block of N Hamlin, Chicago, is accused of forgery, and was arrested at 4:30 p.m. Feb. 26 in the 300 block of Forestway Drive. He was assigned to appear in court March 17 in Skokie.

A person reported at 10:45 a.m. Feb. 25 at Crestwood Park, 1800 block of Milton Avenue, someone placed new graffiti on the rock climbing wall.
ILLEGAL DUMPING
The owner of Big Apple Bagel, 3100 block of Dundee Road, called police at 2:34 p.m. Feb. 27 to report someone placed numerous boxes in the dumpster of the business without permission.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE
Police were called at 7:06 p.m. Feb. 27 to the area of Neiman Marcus, 1400 block of Lake Cook Road, for a disturbance in the area. Upon arrival, officers checked with store personnel and learned that they were not aware of any disturbances. Officers checked the surrounding area and did not locate any criminal activity.
IDENTITY THEFT
Police received three calls from residents reporting that they were notified that their information had been used without their permission for unemployment benefits through the Illinois Department of Employment Security.
DISPUTE
An employee of uBreakiFix, 200 block of Skokie Boulevard, reported at 10:06 a.m. March 1 that they had a verbal disagreement with their U.S postal carrier regarding the delivery of packages to the business.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS
An employee of Wax On Wax Off, 1800 block of Techny Road, called police at 4:05 p.m. March 1 to report that they saw video surveillance of someone entering the business while it was closed. The complainant stated that a thermostat was turned off and a business file was taken.
STOLEN VEHICLE
A customer reported at 2:19 p.m. March 3 that they had dropped their car off at Autohaus Autobody, 1500 block of Skokie Boulevard, approximately two months ago for work and now cannot locate their vehicle. The complainant learned that the business had recently closed.
RETAIL THEFT
- An employee at Lowes, 1000 block of Willow Road, called police at 11:06 a.m. March 3 to report that a woman was seen placing a three spot laser valued at $93.98 in her shopping cart and then returning the item for merchandise credit.
- An employee of BP Amoco, 1900 block of Willow Road, reported at 1:07 p.m. March 4 that a man took a six pack of beer and exited the store without paying for the item. The man left the store on foot and was not located by officers.
