Carjacking Involving Gun Reported On Skokie Boulevard: Police

The incident happened at around 6 a.m. Tuesday, according to Northbrook police.

The person said that a man, described as in his 20s, was in the car when he came out of store and displayed a handgun. The man then fled with the stolen car onto Dundee Road toward I-94.

NORTHBROOK, IL — Police are investigating a carjacking that happened at around 6 a.m. Tuesday in the 800 block of Skokie Boulevard. A person told police that his Range Rover was stolen while he was inside a store in the 800 block of Skokie Boulevard, according to a release.

The person said that a man, described as in his 20s, was in the car when he came out of store and displayed a handgun. The man then fled with the stolen car onto Dundee Road toward I-94.

Working with assisting agencies, the vehicle was recovered in Chicago a few hours later. No one was injured.
