Daniel Reisner Named To Dean's List At Bates College

Daniel Reisner, of Northbrook, was named to the dean's list at Bates College for the fall semester ending in December 2020. This is a distinction earned by students whose grade point average is 3.88 or higher. Reisner, the son of Joel A. Reisner and Sigal Klipstein, is a 2020 graduate of Glenbrook North High School.

Michael Shen Inducted into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi

Michael Shen, of Northbrook, was recently initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation's oldest and most selective all-discipline collegiate honor society. Shen was initiated at Nova Southeastern University. Shen is among approximately 30,000 students, faculty, professional staff and alumni to be initiated into Phi Kappa Phi each year. Membership is by invitation only and requires nomination and approval by a chapter. Only the top 10 percent of seniors and 7.5 percent of juniors are eligible for membership. Graduate students in the top 10 percent of the number of candidates for graduate degrees may also qualify, as do faculty, professional staff and alumni who have achieved scholarly distinction.

Northbrook's Rubin Earns Spot on 2021 UW-Whitewater Baseball Roster

David Rubin, a native of Northbrook, and graduate of Glenbrook North High School, will compete for the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater baseball team. Rubin, a sophomore at UW-Whitewater, is majoring in general management.

Alexa Rosenzweig graduates from UW-Whitewater

Alexa Rosenzweig, of Northbrook, earned a degree from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater at winter commencement on Dec. 19, 2020. Rosenzweig graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Education in elementary education. More than 846 graduates graduated in a virtual ceremony. The graduating class included 61 veterans, 6 international students and 128 nontraditional undergraduate students, defined as students who are 25 years of age or older.
