Death Of Woman At Northbrook Hotel Classified As Undetermined

The body of a 45-year-old Lake Forest resident was found behind the wheel of a car last November at the Renaissance Chicago North Shore.

NORTHBROOK, IL — The cause of death of a 45-year-old Lake Forest woman, found deceased in the driver seat of a vehicle parked outside the Renaissance Chicago North Shore Hotel last year, is undetermined. The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office made the classification after an investigation into the death that occurred on Nov. 21, 2020.

The manner of death can be recorded as "undetermined" if there is not enough evidence to reach a firm conclusion.

Police were called to 933 Skokie Boulevard at around 3:40 p.m. Nov. 21, 2020, and found the deceased in the driver seat of a vehicle, according to a news release.

The body was transported to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office, and the vehicle was taken into custody. According to police, there were no signs of trauma and the woman was declared dead at 5:55 p.m.
