NORTHBROOK, IL — The following information comes from the Northbrook Police Department and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.

INCIDENTS

RETAIL THEFT

A person reported at 11:21 a.m. Feb. 12 that a woman in her 20s was seen removing two female beauty products without paying for them at Walgreens, 1000 block of Waukegan Road.

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE

A resident in the 2000 block of Valencia Drive called police at 12:16 a.m. Feb. 13 to report that they believed someone was attempting to open their door. Officers checked the area and were unable to locate anything suspicious.

IDENTITY THEFT

A Maple Avenue resident reported at 11:11 a.m. Feb. 12 that they received three notifications from separate credit agencies regarding applications for credit that they did not apply for.

CIVIL DISPUTE

A resident of the 2100 block of Brentwood Road called police on Feb. 12 to report that they had entered in to a contract in September of last year and supplied deposit for home improvement work that has not been performed.

THEFT

A person reported at 11:11 a.m. Feb. 16 that someone removed four motorcycle tires from their parking garage.

THREATS

A person called police at 1:17 p.m. Feb. 17 to report that while they were checking for frozen plumbing in a building in the 1800 block of Techny Road two individuals from another office threatened them. The complainant stated that there is an ongoing issue between them and one of the people from the other office. The two individuals were contacted by officers and instructed to avoid contact with the complainant.
