Heavy Rain Floods Northbrook Streets
High standing water flooded several intersections Monday.
NORTHBROOK, IL — Heavy rain flooded several spots around Northbrook Monday, village officials announced. Motorists were asked to find alternate routes around locations with high levels of standing water. Those areas include the following:
- Willow and Shermer roads (at railroad underpass)
- Waukegan Road from Shermer to Voltz roads
- Dundee Road (eastbound lanes) from Timber Lane to Lee Road
- The intersection of Walters and Western avenues
- The intersection of Walters and Brier Lane
- Cherry Lane underpass and Western Avenue (south of Dundee Road)
