Lake Forest ‘House of Tomorrow’ on Market for $5.5M

The George Frederick Keck mansion on Green Bay Road has its own indoor fountain, as well as 7 bedrooms.

Architect George Frederick Keck designed the famous “House of Tomorrow” for the 1933 Chicago World’s Fair. Three years later, he designed a Green Bay Road Lake Forest mansion, which is on the market for $5.5 million, according to Curbed Chicago.

The 15,500-square-foot, seven-bedroom, nine-bath home had a major renovation in the 1990s, which Curbed says removed much of its original Art Deco feel.

According to the listing on Zillow, it sits on 4.6 acres and last sold for $4.9 million in 2004.
