Longtime Northbrook Hardware Store To Close
Under several names and owners, the hardware store at White Plains Shopping Center has stood for nearly a half-century.
The hardware store that has been a staple at White Plains Shopping Center at Dundee and Landwehr roads for 45 years will close its doors for the final time in a month or so, the Northbrook Star reports.
Currently known as Northbrook Ace Hardware & Rental, the shop has stood through a variety of owners and name changes.
Current owner Ron Gadek told the Star a going out of business sale began in December and will not commence until its closing.
