Max and Benny's Brings Live Comedy and More in April

If you've been to Max and Benny's Restaurant-Deli-Bakery lately, you know that in addition to serving up breakfast, lunch and dinner from an expansive menu of deli and American fare, the Northbrook eatery hosts a variety of special events each month.

Since February of 2017, Max and Benny's has been the home of The Comedy Nosh, a monthly series of live, stand-up comedy showcases produced by Funnier By The Lake Comedy and Best Corporate Comedy, run respectively by Highland Park based comedians, Larry Bloom and Ricky March.

The "Nosh" is a delicious and hilarious dinner-and-a-show that includes dinner, dessert and a lineup of professional comedians from Chicago, the suburbs and the Midwest, that perform regularly at staple local venues like Zanies, The Laugh Factory, the Chicago Improv and across the country as they tour nationally. The April "Nosh" lineup is Ricky March, Kat Herskovic, Darius Kennedy and headliner Peter-John Byrnes.

"We bring a classic, Chicago comedy club show to the suburbs, so people can enjoy some original comedy without all of the hassle and expense associated with venturing downtown," says March.

The April "Nosh" is Thursday, April 19. Dinner at 7 p.m. and the show kicks off at 7:30 p.m. The cost is $35 per person or two for $60. Reservations are required.

Max and Benny's also hosts monthly events, like Family Night, Trivia Night and Author Nights, featuring many notable authors, such as Scott Turow. This month's Author Night on Monday, April 23, welcomes legendary character actor Stephen Tobolowsky to discuss his life, his previous literary works and his newest book, My Adventures with God. This event is free to attend, but reservations are required.

Located at 461 Waukegan Road, Northbrook, since expanding in 1994, Max and Benny's is a "go-to" spot for casual dining, private events, and business meetings from one-on-one conversations to large business networking groups that meet regularly in one of the venue's private backrooms.
