"Mini" Jordan Mansion On The Market in Northbrook

The smaller version of Jordan's Highland Park palace comes at a fraction of the cost, too.

In the 1990s, we all wanted to “Be Like Mike.” At least that’s what the Gatorade commercial instilled in us at the time, referring to Chicago Bulls great Michael Jordan of course.

The commercial made no mention of the mansion Jordan owns in Highland Park, however, and being like that - a palace with a regulation-sized basketball gymnasium, circular infinity pool, putting green, tennis court and cigar room.

But that may have been the interpretation for the architect of what Curbed Chicago is calling “a miniature version” of Jordan’s massive mansion over in Northbrook.

“This 6,700 square-foot home has a lot in common with MJ’s mansion, but it’s a fraction of the size and a fraction of the cost,” according to Curbed. “It’s got a floating staircase, a yin-yang lighting fixture in the dining room, a solarium that overlooks the outdoor pool, as well as the ubiquitous exercise room and theater room.”

That fraction of a price ($2.49 million) may still be a bit high for most, but it pales in comparison to Jordan’s actual mansion, located at 2700 Point Lane in Highland Park, which now lists at $14.855 (a little more than half of its original $29 million asking price).
