NORTHBROOK, IL — A monster cabaret is invading the Velodrome and the public is invited to the show. The Northbrook Theatre Youth Company will perform "We Are Monsters" Oct. 30-31 at the Ed Rudolph Velodrome in Meadowhill Park, 1479 Maple Ave.

According to a press release from the Northbrook Park District, the "hilarious musical follows humans into a world of quirky characters, including vegetarian vampires, aliens and rock ‘n’ roll werewolves. During their spooky adventure, the humans discover the importance of friendship and embracing the attributes that make everyone unique."

Audience members are encouraged to come in costume and will be treated to high-energy, humorous musical numbers throughout the show.
