New Book Takes Inspiration from Controversial North Shore Church
Two local authors have self-published an e-book inspired by their experiences growing up on the North Shore.

Authors Dean Economos and Alyssa Machinis released their e-book, “A North Shore Story” on Tuesday. It’s available through Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
The story is inspired by real-life events, including a controversy at Saints Peter and Paul Orthodox Church in Glenview, according to the Glenview Announcements.
The church’s former priest, James Dokos, was charged in 2014 with felony theft for allegedly mishandling thousands from a trust fund when he presided over a Milwaukee church.
