No New Coronvirus Deaths Last 2 Weeks In Northbrook
There have been 2,797 coronavirus-related cases in Northbrook, according to the Cook County Department of Public Health.

NORTHBROOK, IL — Like every other municipality in Illinois, the Village of Northbrook has been dealing with its own unique data points regarding the coronavirus. According to the Cook County Medical Examiner, 111 people have died due to COVID-19 in Northbrook since March 29, 2020. That marks no new deaths in the last two weeks with the last death happening on Feb. 25. The most deaths in a single day since the pandemic began was four on Nov. 12 and Nov. 19.
As of Friday, there have been 2,797 2,752 coronavirus-related cases in Northbrook, according to the Cook County Department of Public Health. That marks an increase of 55 cases since March 5. For further comparison, there was an increase of 45 new cases between Feb. 25-March 5 and 43 new cases between Feb. 18-25. These numbers indicate an +8.22 percent change in confirmed cases over the last 14 days.

In addition, 99,060 people have been tested for the coronavirus across zip codes 60026 and 60062, according to the Illinois Department of Public Health. That number marks an increase of 1,860 tests since March 5. For further comparison, there was an increase in tests of 2,753 between Feb. 25-March 5.

As of Friday, the Cook County Department of Health is reporting 215,915 confirmed cases and 4,047 deaths since the pandemic began. That marks an increase of 1,559 cases and 18 deaths since Patch's last update on March 5. For further comparison, there was an increase of 2,181 cases and 37 deaths between Feb. 25-March 5. These numbers include all confirmed and probable cases under the jurisdiction of the Cook County Department of Public Health (excludes Chicago, Evanston, Oak Park, Skokie, and Stickney Township).
Currently, IDPH is reporting a total of 1,204,409 cases, including 20,863 deaths, in 102 counties in Illinois. The age of cases ranges from younger than one to older than 100 years. Within the past 24 hours, laboratories have reported 89,893 specimens for a total of 18,894,652. As of last night, 1,118 individuals in Illinois were reported to be in the hospital with COVID-19. Of those, 231 patients were in the ICU and 102 patients with COVID-19 were on ventilators.

A total of doses of 4,488,655 vaccine have been delivered to providers in Illinois, including Chicago. In addition, approximately 414,900 doses total have been allocated to the federal government’s Pharmacy Partnership Program for long-term care facilities. This brings the total Illinois doses to 4,903,555. A total of 3,680,703 vaccines have been administered in Illinois as of last midnight, including 353,125 for long-term care facilities. The seven-day rolling average of vaccines administered daily is 98,166 doses. Yesterday, 112,776 doses were administered in Illinois.
The Illinois Department of Public Health is reporting 24,499 confirmed cases in Cook County long-term facilities and 3,356 deaths. In the past, the IDPH has temporarily removed some cases and deaths on three different occasions since Patch has been tracking these numbers, before including them back in at a later date.
