Every March the North Suburban YMCA holds an art show to showcase the work of their winter art students. In the past, the show was held at the Northbrook Public Library, but due to covid restrictions the 2021 show will be in house at the Y, located at 2705 Techny Rd. in Northbrook. An open house for the artists will be held on Sunday, March 7 from 1:00-4:00 p.m.

The exhibit demonstrates the array of mediums used in the Y’s Visual Arts classes, offered for all ages and interests. The Y’s Spring session starts on March 29th; Y members can sign up for art classes now, non-members on March 1st. Many classes have an option to take them virtually.

“We are very proud of our art students’ dedication this winter. The classes have been an important creative outlet for them,” commented the Y’s Visual Arts Director Cathie Winnie.
