Northbrook Officials Reminding Residents About Fire Extinguishers
Household fire extinguishers should be replaced every five to seven years.

When was the last time you replaced the fire extinguisher at home?
Northbook’s Director of Fire Prevention Kevin Frangiamore is reminding residents that household fire extinguishers should be checked periodically for its pressure and hose, and replaced every five to seven years, Chicago Tribune reported.
If you don’t have a fire extinguisher at home, a non-rechargeable extinguisher can be purchased for about $20, and residents can learn about how to use a fire extinguisher by visiting Northbrook Fire Department’s open house in the fall, Chicago Tribune reported.
