Northbrook Police Blotter Feb. 5-12
A 19-year-old was charged with speeding, improper lane usage and driving while license revoked. This week's Northbrook police blotter.
NORTHBROOK, IL — The following information comes from the Northbrook Police Department and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.
ARRESTS
DRIVING WHILE LICENSE REVOKED
An officer on routine patrol observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation. The officer stopped the vehicle and learned that the driver was driving with a revoked driver's license. Lanae Monae Kennedy, 19, was charged with speeding, improper lane usage and driving while license revoked. She was released after posting $2,500 bond.

INCIDENTS
CRIMINAL DEFACEMENT
A citizen reported at on Feb. 5 that new graffiti was placed on a parking kiosk inside the vestibule at the Metra Station in the 1400 block of Shermer.

THREATENING TELEPHONE CALLS
A resident of in the 500 block of Skokie Boulevard reported they have received telephone calls that were of a threatening nature who was not satisfied with their service.
HARASSMENT BY ELECTRONIC DEVICE
A resident reported on Feb. 5 a person has been sending them threatening text messages in the 700 block of Skokie.
SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT
A resident reported an unknown man came to their door in the 2500 block of Prince on Feb. 7 claiming they represented ComEd and that they needed to plow the complainant's driveway due to an emergency. The resident said the man left and was not able to be found by officers.
RETAIL THEFT
A resident in the 4100 block of Dundee Road reported they observed a woman switching price tags on items on Feb. 8.
IDENTITY THEFT
On Feb. 10 Officers received reports from three complainants regarding the use of their information for unemployment benefits through the Illinois Department of Employment Security, which they did not apply for.
