Northbrook received about 165 flood-related calls, with the village’s public works department alone receiving more than 70 calls, four of which were about flooded basements, Chicago Tribune reported.
Cheryl Fayne-dePersio, spokeswoman for Village of Northbrook says Wednesday’s storm wasn’t as bad as the April storm when the ground was still frozen, “At least we have plants absorbing some of the water now,” she told the newspaper.
