Northbrook Symphony Plans Mother's Day Concert

A prerecorded live performance will be presented virtually beginning May 7.

Join the Northbrook Symphony and Maestro Mina Zikri as it presents the fourth performance of the 2020-2021 season on Mother’s Day weekend. The Bach Brandenburg Concerto No.5 in D major, BWV 1050 featuring guests from the Chicago Symphony; Gina DiBello, violin, Emma Gerstein, flute, and Mark Shuldiner, harpsichord.

The Northbrook Symphony was founded in 1980 by former CSO Concertmaster Samuel Magad. The orchestra is celebrating its 41st season/ 2nd season under Maestro Mina Zikri as Music Director. An internationally acclaimed conductor, Maestro Zikri is the founder and Music Director of the Oistrakh Symphony of Chicago and is the Resident Conductor of the Lira Ensemble. Maestro Zikri frequently travels as Assistant Conductor to Daniel Barenboim with the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra on their annual tours to major music festivals and concert halls world-wide. The Northbrook Symphony is a 501 (c) (3) professional music ensemble.
