Overnight Closures On Skokie Boulevard In Northbrook

From the Village of Northbrook: Overnight on Friday, November 1, between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m., there will be intermittent lane and full lane closures on Skokie Boulevard at the Edens Spur overpass. These closures are necessary as Illinois Tollway crews replace beams on the Edens Spur bridges over Skokie Blvd.

The Tollway anticipates that the traffic control will be conducted in three phases. The Tollway’s contractor will reduce Skokie Boulevard to one lane in both directions beginning at 9 p.m., a single lane with flaggers at 11 p.m., and intermittent full closures will begin at 1:00 a.m. These full closures may last up to 20 minutes at a time and will continue up until 5:00 a.m.

All work is anticipated to be completed by 5 a.m. Motorists are advised to seek alternative routes during the full closure periods and use caution in the work zone.
